Katherine has more than 35 years of experience in accounting and tax preparation. In May of 1986, she received a B.S. in Business Administration/Accounting from Indiana University. Within the same year, Katherine received her CPA.  

In 1996, she moved her practice "on the square" in downtown Crown Point, Indiana.  Individuals and small business have been coming to Katherine for all of their tax and accounting needs ever since. KBCPA Accounting  is a sole proprietorship.

Other positions Katherine has held include Adjunct Professor of Accounting at Indiana University Northwest, Financial Controller for the Diocese of Gary, and Vice President of Finance for a division of Whiteco Industries. Professionally, she is a member of the AICPA and the Indiana CPA Society. Community involvement is also important to Katherine. She is an active member of the Crown Point Stewards of the Square, CP Rotary, and PEO, she is also a member of Tri-Kappa.

Katherine is a life-long resident of Crown Point. She and her husband, Fred, have two sons Jeff and Jon. Her sons live in Crown Point along with their wives Carmen and Erin and three wonderful grandchildren.
